Who doesn’t love a good French Onion Soup? Especially on a cold day? I am one that doesn’t like raw onions, but I love cooked onions in so many ways, and French Onion Soup when it’s done right is SO good! This is one of my favorite soups, and is really easy to make. This particular recipe I got from my husband’s Grandma Martha, and it’s still a family favorite with my kids as well now that they are adults.
The thing that makes French Onion Soup so good is a good crunchy Baguette (I love to make it with my homemade sourdough bread) and some really good melted gooey cheese on top, then you dip down into that flavorful broth with sweet translucent onions, and oh my gosh! You will want another bowl!
