I have been making these sugared pecans since my kids were little. They were a favorite with everyone, especially my son. I would have to ration them and put out just a small bowl at a time or they would all be gone in less than an hour if I didn’t. They are still a favorite, and so easy to make! I always make them over the Christmas holiday and put them in this cute little dish in the picture that says ‘Tis the Season to Have Another…” with a spoon that says “A Spoonful of Naughty”. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups pecan halves

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except pecans in a large frying pan. Dissolve sugar over medium heat. Add pecan halves and continue to cook, stirring constantly. Cook until pecans are completely sugared with no syrup left in the pan. Spread on waxed paper and let cook, breaking apart as they cool.
